Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to imagine, design, and develop innovative products within a high‑performing engineering team. You will participate across the product lifecycle, collaborate with Aircraft Fuel Systems disciplines, and contribute to safety, performance, and sustainability goals.

You will shape architecture, plans, and verification strategies while supporting production activities at the Rocky Mount, NC facility. Relocation is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• 3 years’ experience applying advanced design, development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex engineering projects.
• 3 years’ experience managing engineering projects autonomously and without supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams in conception, planning, and execution of new product developments using a robust Systems Engineering process.
• Apply technical expertise in fuel controls, servo valves, and aircraft interfaces.
• Develop and manage detailed program plans and engineering estimates for new opportunities.
• Support Phase 6 production engineering activities at the Rocky Mount facility, with up to 25% travel.
• Lead structured failure investigations using FTA, Fishbone, RCCA, and FMEA to identify root cause and corrective actions.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams, providing timely updates and feedback.
