Qualifications

  • One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level.
  • Completed 1 full academic year of graduate study in an appropriate field.
  • Any combination of experience and graduate study in an appropriate field.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and conducts engineering analysis, design, development, testing, and evaluation of systems or technologies.
  • Develops and evaluates engineering concepts, requirements, designs, models, and solutions addressing mission needs.
  • Plans and coordinates multidisciplinary engineering activities and integrates inputs across disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Evaluates technical data, test results, designs, and system performance to identify issues and risks.
  • Develops and applies engineering standards, requirements, methods, procedures, and reports.
  • Provides technical guidance and communicates findings, risks and status to management and teams.
  • Leads or participates in technical reviews and collaborative activities with NASA, contractors, and partners.
  • Supervisory duties include assignment/evaluation of work, personnel actions, and identifying training needs.
