Job summary

RTX in Portsmouth, RI seeks a Systems Engineer within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities discipline. You will help integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, and verify system requirements in support of final customer sell-off.

Role involves collaboration across disciplines and hands-on lab or field work. You may support program development, engineering testing, integration, flight-testing, production, and post-deployment support across the product lifecycle; onsite role

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through the internship/co-op.
Minimum 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues with common test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and/or software system integration.

Responsibilities

Support testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
Functional analysis of real-world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded systems.
Assist with root cause analyses and use of lab/field test equipment.
System integration and test support, possibly including live-fire test events.
Travel may be required up to 20%.
