Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on investigating production support cases for aerospace control systems and ECUs, and on releasing ECNs to support design improvements and manufacturing needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform design substantiation, and coordinate with suppliers while ensuring alignment with program objectives and system-level requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. Person status under ITAR regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• U.S. Citizen or Protected status per U.S. Export Control regulations.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and the systems development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production support cases for aerospace control systems and ECUs.
• Develop and release Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to support design improvements and manufacturing needs.
• Perform technical evaluations and substantiation of design changes related to production and factory support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and distribute production support workloads.
• Review and maintain approved source list drawings and build-to-print documentation.
• Reconcile product-level requirements with customer and system-level requirements.
• Support integration of components into larger aerospace systems.
• Participate in configuration management and design revision activities including obsolescence management and drawing updates.
• Coordinate supplier deliverables and align schedules with program objectives.
