Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking an experienced aerospace systems engineer for the Ansys Government Initiatives team. The role focuses on leading technical activities across the sales lifecycle, delivering system-level solutions, and guiding customers in using Digital Mission Engineering tools.

Hybrid onsite work with DoD customers and a DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate requirements into actionable software features, and contribute

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys software or other engineering tools (mission simulation STK, ODTK, MSBE, optimization, CAD).
• Programming proficiency in one or more languages (C, C++, C#, Java, MATLAB, Python, or scripting languages).
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations and training sessions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25% and possess DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership on Ansys product offerings to increase sales opportunities.
• Analyze system-level engineering requirements and articulate value using DME products.
• Develop system-level solutions integrating MBSE, DME, and physics analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate high-fidelity analytical models into workflows.
• Translate customer feedback into new features and test releases.
