Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer for onsite work across Jamestown, ND, Lenexa, KS, Uniontown, OH and Phoenix, AZ. You will support development of aircraft mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic systems for Safety, Cargo, and Lighting (SC&L) projects.

The role emphasizes requirements allocation, verification planning, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams. A STEM bachelor's is required and prior internship experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with requirements management and/or developing systems engineering products.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical trade studies and translate requirements into hardware/software specs.
• Develop verification plans and procedures; verify/testing of engineering releases.
• Analyze field-reported issues and document trouble reports; assist in resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including HW/SW designers, test engineers and suppliers.
• Communicate status to the concurrent engineering team and support problem resolution.
• Collaborate with customers, FAA, airlines and OEMs to ensure system integration.
