Job summary

Karman Space and Defense, a leading aerospace and defense contractor, seeks a Senior Manager of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain, planning, and production control across fast-paced programs. You will align procurement, planning, logistics, and production with capacity and customer requirements, driving performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or production planning within aerospace or complex manufacturing.
• 3+ years leadership experience overseeing multiple functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP, production planning, procurement, inventory, and supplier management.
• Experience with Epicor ERP or comparable systems.
• Understanding of AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• History of KPI development and data-driven performance improvement.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of supplier quality and customer flow-down requirements.
• US DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leads Supply Chain, Planning, and Production Control teams, setting priorities and ensuring effective execution.
• Develops and executes supply chain strategies integrating procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and capacity.
• Oversees production planning and control for scheduling, material availability, and on-time delivery.
• Leads procurement and supplier management, including sourcing and supplier performance.
• Manages inventory, logistics, and material flows with proper warehousing and controls.
• Establishes KPIs for supply chain, planning, production control, and suppliers.
• Identifies and mitigates risks in supply chain and production.
• Drives continuous improvement and ERP/MRP optimization.
• Provides cross-functional leadership with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing.
• Develops a high-performing organization through training, accountability, and succession planning.
