Job summary

Qarbon Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 2 to oversee supplier quality across the United States, onboarding suppliers, conducting audits, investigating issues, and driving corrective actions within the QA strategy. Travel is required and flexibility is expected.

The role requires US citizenship or permanent residency (ITAR), a STEM degree with 2+ years in aerospace supplier quality, and strong communication, problem-solving, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
• Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality in an aerospace fabrication or assembly field.
• Must be willing and able to travel domestically (international travel may be required with notification).
• Experience with detail part manufacturing and chemical processing is preferred.
• Understanding of AS9100, ISO-9001, and related quality management systems.
• Knowledge of FAI and AS9102 requirements for supplier submissions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-department collaboration skills.
• Active clearance is highly preferred; candidates without an active clearance may be considered if eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring.
• Support supplier onboarding, oversight, and corrective actions with timely follow-up verifications.
• Provide supplier quality improvements to enhance process performance and stability.
• Develop and audit supplier inspection plans, methods, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead supplier quality meetings with suppliers and Qarbon site leadership.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
