Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking an aerospace structures engineer to design, analyze, and test primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic assemblies. You will create 3D models, detail drawings, and interface control documents, provide manufacturing support, guide integrations, and develop test plans for flight hardware throughout the product lifecycle.

Applicants should have a B.S. in engineering, 3+ years of experience, strong CAD skills with Creo, experience with GD&T

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years in automotive/aircraft/spacecraft/launch vehicle structures.
• Experience on recently developed aircraft or launch vehicles in design, load path distribution, and sizing areas.
• Strong mechanical design and 3D CAD skills.
• Familiar with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with FEA tools (Nastran/ANSYS/Optistruct/Abaqus/Hypersizer) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test primary and secondary structures and assemblies.
• Create 3D models, part drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
• Offer technical guidance for integration.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Develop test plans, specs, and flight hardware docs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to produce aerospace hardware.
• Participate in subsystem test planning, execution, and data analysis.
• Plan and review tests; coordinate equipment purchases.
• Maintain activity schedule, budget, and status.
