Boeing Defense, Space and Security in Mascoutah, IL is seeking Assembly Mechanics to assemble, install, and test structural components per engineering specs. The role requires hands-on experience with aircraft structures and precision assembly.

You will read drawings, work with hand and power tools, set up fixtures, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while maintaining records and upholding safety.

Competenze

• Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication and assembly.
• Experience with sheet metal assemblies and fastener installation.
• Experience in electrical assembly and general mechanical assembly.

Mansioni

• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine assembly requirements.
• Assemble structural components using hand and power tools.
• Set up and operate ream fixtures to drill, ream, countersink, and bore.
• Install bushings and perform fit adjustments.
• File, fit, hone, drill, tap, and deburr.
• Assemble production aircraft and spacecraft parts and install equipment.
• Test assembled structures for functionality and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design or assembly issues.
• Maintain records of assembly activities and test results.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
