Job summary

VTR Inc. is seeking a Source Inspector for ongoing contract work in Pearland, TX, focusing on electrical and mechanical components used in aerospace.

The role requires inspecting CCAs, PWBs, and cable/wire assemblies across multiple suppliers to ensure strict adherence to drawings and standards. The ideal candidate will perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections, approve FAI documentation, and document findings for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection, preferably in electrical and mechanical components for aerospace or related industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• IPC 610 preferred but not required; JSTD-001 preferred but not required.
• Willing to obtain certification; familiar with AS9100/ISO 9001.
• Willingness to travel to multiple supplier locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on electrical and mechanical products per drawings and standards.
• Verify conformity via dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests.
• Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) and quality docs; AS9102 Rev C preferred.
• Identify non-conformances and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
• Document results and prepare reports for stakeholders.
