Job summary

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is seeking a Soldering Technician for its Orchard Park, NY facility. You will perform mechanical soldering and manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to company policies within a team environment.

The role requires familiarity with soldering equipment, various hand tools, and measurement devices, plus the ability to document results and communicate issues clearly to supervision. Shift runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 2 years of relevant solder/electrical experience or internal job skills matrix points requirements.
• Proficient using various soldering equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status and J-Standard.
• Obtain Space Addendum, NASA crimp certification, IPC-620 (as applicable).
• Perform manufacturing processes on low to moderate complexity assemblies following written instructions.
• Perform soldering and crimping operations of wires on mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
• Operate under a microscope for detailed soldering as required.
• Conduct basic electrical tests per documented procedures.
• Document test results in data sheets or electronic systems.
• Communicate problems clearly to supervisor or manager.
