This role is based onsite in Fort Worth, TX, and involves developing the aircraft software safety methodology for military programs such as the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), Bell 525 Relentless, and the HSVTOL program.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Software System Safety activities within engineering design teams.
• Coordinate with customers and team members on software safety issues.
• Investigate and resolve Software System Safety Engineering issues.
• Perform Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) in conjunction with MBSE efforts.
• Represent Bell in industry and military safety working groups.
• Guide engineering teams and suppliers on Software System Safety Engineering.
• Review safety documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Influence aircraft design to enhance safety features.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' software safety experience.
• Experience with military or civil System Safety Programs (MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP4761).
• Familiarity with military software safety guidance and standards (Joint Services, AMCOM Regulation 385-17).
• Experience with software development (RTCA DO-178) or hardware development (RTCA DO-254).
