Job summary

RTX is seeking a software engineering internship in Aurora, CO, for the Summer 2027 Raytheon Fellowship Program. The role involves contributing to satellite ground systems, collaborating with engineers, and delivering software in an Agile environment.

Selected students are pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree with at least 30 credits by start, may obtain a national security clearance, and could receive signing bonuses with a future path to full-time employment post-graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree and enrolled through internship/co-op period.
• Minimum of 30 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
• Experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
• Knowledge of data structures.
• Experience programming using C++ and Python.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Interest in satellite ground system software and related technologies such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight dynamics models.

Responsibilities

• Intern with Raytheon during summer 2027 as part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program.
• Develop software for satellite ground systems and related software projects.
• Research and implement advanced software technologies.
