Job summary

SNC is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join its summer program in aerospace and defense. You will work on real projects, receive mentorship, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic team. The internship emphasizes growth through cross-functional workshops and direct involvement in ISR/C4ISR initiatives, allowing you to apply engineering and coding skills while collaborating with senior engineers.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior with ≥6 months until graduation.
• Pursuing degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Able to work in a highly collaborative team.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in actual technical projects and contribute to team objectives.
• Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data.
• Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
• Perform hands-on technical work assignments to gain practical experience and build technical skills.
• Work closely with team members, absorb and learn from their expertise, and apply that learning to ongoing projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of best practices.
