Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer Intern/Co-op in Annapolis Junction, MD, onsite. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of software products deployed for advanced systems, including architecture, design, integration, and field support, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and gaining exposure to large code bases and toolsets.

The role emphasizes proactive decision-making, code development, and hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Docker in a defense-ready

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment
• Experience with one or more scripting languages, Python, Linux script, Bash

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems while participating on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams
• Work will be performed with guidance of a product lead and team members who will assist in establishing an approach, perform code review and support in testing
