Job summary

KSAT Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, debug, and deploy software and scripting solutions for aerospace programs across their lifecycle.

You will build new tools while integrating with KSAT's production codebases and work with a global team, including mission operations counterparts in Europe, with opportunities to travel for mission integration. The role focuses on automating routine tasks, assessing API readiness, and expanding cloud-native development in public and private

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust and/or Python; other languages are acceptable.
• Comfortable in Unix-like and Windows environments.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production software.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with JSON/YAML.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with KSAT’s Norway Product Team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for ground network and mission operations.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs interfacing with ground systems and customer platforms.
• Assist in deploying databases and mission data products into KSAT's environment.
• Create scripts to monitor and collect data from lab test equipment.
• Design and deploy software in Azure and OpenStack cloud environments with growing cloud ownership.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with the KSAT Norway Product Development team on new initiatives.
