Job summary

Accurus Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Shot Peen Operator to set up and operate shot peening equipment for aerospace components. You will load/unload parts, monitor process parameters, perform Almen testing, and complete documentation in line with Nadcap and customer requirements.

Must meet ITAR/U.S. Person requirements. A High school diploma or GED is required and reading technical docs is essential. Regular on-site work and a focus on safety are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and follow shot peening processes, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technique sheets, work instructions, and other technical docs.
• Ability to set up and operate shot peening equipment and maintain machine/process parameters.
• Ability to perform Almen strip testing and accurately use an Almen gauge.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate shot peening equipment per sheets, work instructions, customer specs, and quality requirements.
• Identify part families and determine proper machine, nozzle, fixture, and process settings.
• Adjust blast times, nozzle positions, fixture settings, and air pressure.
• Perform Almen strip tests and verify intensity and process compliance using Almen gauge.
• Complete required process logs, equipment records, and test results.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
