Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. in Kent, WA, is seeking an Aerospace Shot Peen Assistant for 1st shift. You will prepare parts for shot peening, support FAA/DOT testing, and report to the Shift Supervisor or Value Stream Manager in a full-time, non-exempt role.

Responsibilities include assisting Shot Peen Inspectors, following orders and paperwork, performing pre/post cleaning, and maintaining safety in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Must have regular and dependable attendance.
• Ability to Read/Write/ Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Shot Peen Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Learn to follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Shot Peen Inspectors.
• Learn general review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Learn to prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Learn to perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Learn to follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Must follow safety precautions as trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
