Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a hands‑on Supervisor to lead technicians, operators and machinists in fabrication, assembly and test at our Huntsville facility. The role prioritizes safety, quality and schedule adherence to support human spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands‑on manufacturing/operations experience.
• 1+ year of frontline leadership directing technicians.
• Experience with complex or hazardous systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation.
• Strong planning and prioritization for daily work.
• Proficiency with digital tools and openness to learn new systems.
• Willing to support non‑standard hours and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians/operators/machinists in fabrication, assembly, test and manufacturing with focus on safety, quality and schedule.
• Plan, assign, and monitor shift coverage and work center assignments.
• Ensure work follows procedures and safety/quality requirements.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for integration, checkout, test and operations.
• Conduct performance check‑ins, coaching and mentoring.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training and recognition.
• Communicate status, issues and risks to leadership and partners.
• Drive safety culture, investigate hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root cause investigations for quality excursions on shift.
• Identify continuous improvements to increase safety, quality and efficiency.
• Maintain clean, organized, compliant work areas.
