Job summary

Strategic Support Solutions is seeking an Aircraft Sheet Metal/Structural Mechanic in Greenville, SC to perform structural repairs, corrosion control and modifications on aerospace components. You will read blueprints and work with thin-skinned aircraft using industry-standard tools.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of sheet metal experience on general aviation aircraft, strong attention to safety and quality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic on general aviation aircraft with thin skins.
• Proficient with common sheet metal tools (rivet guns, drills, sanders, grinders).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrosion repair, mitigation, and structural modifications on aircraft panels and components.
• Inspect and evaluate structural damage to aircraft sheet metal systems.
• Mechanically strip paint and prepare composite surfaces using appropriate materials.
• Remove and reinstall aircraft panels, skins, and components for maintenance and coating.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Complete all required paperwork including work orders and parts requests.
