Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, knowledge of aircraft structures and repair, and experience with CAD tools such as CATIA and AutoCAD. Strong communication and ability to work with diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination to perform essential functions of aircraft structures design.
• Basic understanding of aircraft structures design principles and aircraft structural repair.
• Ability to use or learn CAD tools such as CCD, CATIA V4 & V5, AutoCAD, or similar in aircraft structures design.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, managers, customers, etc.
• Flexibility to move quickly between assignments and handle multiple issues simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to planning, developing and coordinating important engineering projects.
• Provides specialized technical assistance to team members.
• Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to difficult problems.
• Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
• Works under limited supervision; work should be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
• Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.
• Actively works to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of developments in related aircraft fields to recommend innovations.
