Job summary

Branex Group in Lake Orion, Michigan is seeking a Sand Blast Operator to support aerospace manufacturing by cleaning, preparing, and finishing fabricated parts. The role involves operating sandblasting equipment, handling materials, and wearing full PPE.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience with sandblasting equipment, the ability to read work orders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work safely to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience operating sandblasting or abrasive blasting equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions.
• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements (US Person).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of shop safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare aerospace components.
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the fabrication shop.
• Prepare parts for welding, machining, painting, or assembly.
• Inspect parts before and after blasting for quality and defects.
• Maintain blasting equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow aerospace specifications, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools, and power tools as required.
• Keep work areas clean and organized following 6S and safety practices.
• Wear and maintain required PPE.
• Assist fabrication, assembly, and production teams as needed.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
