Job summary

UDRI seeks an Associate Research Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Optimization Group. You will work on experimental and computational analyses, supporting weapons and air vehicle projects with a focus on propulsion integration and structural performance.

The role requires collaboration across disciplines and communication with AFRL; experience in numerical modeling and software development is valued. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible opportunity in the Dayton/Wright-Patterson area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Basic experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, ANSYS, SolidWorks or similar programming languages.
• Knowledge of aircraft design and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of propulsion systems.
• U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing aerospace R&D contracts at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
• Develop and deploy software and engineering analyses for aerospace design and testing.
