Epic Aircraft, a Bend, Oregon-based aerospace manufacturer, is seeking an R&D Technician to support research, development, testing, and prototyping. You will fabricate, modify, and assemble prototype parts, tools, fixtures, and components using welding, metal fabrication, machining, and hand tools.

Collaboration with Engineers is essential to move concepts from drawings to working solutions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while

Qualifications

• Experience with welding and fabrication of metals.
• Ability to fabricate prototype parts and tools from drawings.
• Proven hands-on problem-solving in manufacturing settings.
• Comfort with a range of shop equipment and safety procedures.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, and assemble prototype parts and tools.
• Weld components using TIG and other processes as needed.
• Fabricate fixtures, jigs, brackets, and related items for testing.
• Perform basic machining to produce or modify parts.
• Inspect parts to ensure proper fit and dimensions.
• Support engineering with prototype development and testing.
