Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a Quality Technician to support conformity inspection, source inspection, and the review of manufacturing processes. You will mentor inspectors, prepare FAIRs, perform internal audits, and help drive corrective actions while upholding customer and internal specifications.

The role emphasizes lean practices, training, and collaboration across teams in a dynamic defense industry setting.

Qualifications

1–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical measurement tools.
Ability to learn and apply internal, industry or customer specifications.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Evaluate products and processes against drawings and specs to verify compliance.
Receive training to conduct CMM programming and back up duties for inspection.
Prepare, review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Develop audits checklists from specs and procedures.
Evaluate products for defects and correct dimensional/assembly issues.
Observe work in process for compliance with instructions.
Sort defect data and support corrective actions.
Create and process NCMRs for scrap/rework.
Debrief management on findings and propose solutions.
Support new product introduction and AS9145 activities.
