Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Quality Engineer in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role entails working with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers to ensure products meet industry standards and customer requirements.

The incumbent will help implement AS9145 (APQP) and drive continuous quality improvements. Qualifications include a BS in Quality or related field, 2–5 years in aerospace quality, and familiarity with APQP/PPAP/DFMEA/PFMEA.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Quality, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace/electronics/auto
• ASQ CQE/CQA/CQM or similar certification preferred
• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• ITAR compliance – US Person required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers
• Collect and analyze production data to evaluate product quality
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions
• Stop production if critical defects are found
• Monitor quality control systems for effectiveness
• Review ECOs/MCOs and deviations
• Support audits by Defense, Aerospace and customers
• Assist failure analysis and reliability testing
