Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist for the T-7 program based at Edwards AFB, CA. The role focuses on quality assurance, nonconformance review, and aerospace system analysis, with travel to BDS sites as needed.

Responsibilities include guiding root-cause analysis, maintaining aircraft records, and ensuring compliance with USAF directives. 2nd shift and potential 10% travel are noted. A US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
• 3+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• 3+ years of data analysis and/or data mining
• 3+ years of experience working in a quality job role
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Experience with military maintenance per Air Force instructions and forms

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
• Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes
• Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
• Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.
• Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
• Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System
• Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes
• Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated
• Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution
• Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring technicians
• Aircraft flight releases open item reconciliation and US red X sign off authority
• Initiates, prepares, and maintains aircraft logbooks per requirements
• Tracks Inspections and Life Limited parts in accordance with applicable service guidance
• Prepares aircraft inventory records, reviews technical directives and initiates appropriate action to ensure all required changes, inspections have been accomplished and documented
• Ensures appropriate aircraft and technical directive records are maintained
• Maintains a log of aircraft and engine flight hours and landings
• Enters flight discrepancies into Aircraft Flight Reporting System (AFRS)
• Performs Engine Accounting functions per requirements
• Maintains CAD/PAD records per government requirements
• Demonstrates knowledge of technical orders and technical publications
• Maintains aircraft build records in accordance with Records & Information Management requirement
• Reviews / writes internal company processes (BPI's) and recommends process improvements
