Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Engineer to establish and improve quality system processes across development and production environments. You will lead audits, review manufacturing docs, and support design reviews to improve manufacturability and product quality.

The role requires a strong aerospace quality background, AS9100/ISO9001 familiarity, and 6+ years in a related field. U.S. citizenship or eligibility is required for access to certain facilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or equivalent STEM degree (6+ years of relevant experience).
• Quality assurance experience in production environment.
• Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 QMS.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.
