Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support Boeing Global Services at Travis AFB, CA. You will review non-conformances, analyze quality data, and apply aerospace knowledge to perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations.

The role requires 3+ years in QA, ability to read basic engineering drawings, and experience with safety protocols. It is a first-shift position with potential overtime; US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality assurance.
• 1+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specs.
• 3+ years detecting hazardous working conditions and safety issues.
• 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes.
• 1+ years of experience with heights and fall protection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
• Performs analysis to identify and evaluate quality of products, operations and processes per QMS, procedures, contracts or regulations.
• Applies knowledge of aerospace design and systems to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
• Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.
• Performs root cause analysis on nonconformances to identify cause and prevent recurrence.
• Develops, modifies and documents actions to ensure problem resolution and corrective/preventive actions.
• Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
• Negotiates concurrence and commitments for preventive and corrective actions; reviews action plans.
• Reviews and approves quality planning changes or disposition of nonconforming hardware/products.
• Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver software products.
• Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards.
• Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored/handled per requirements.
• Interprets industry standards and provides recommendations for implementation.
• Creates analytical reports and coordinates with responsible parties for distribution.
