Job summary

Axius Group is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality management system in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. You will drive process-driven quality, embed metrics, and maintain NADCAP and certifications while partnering with operations and engineering to improve processes.

The role focuses on reducing defects at the source, establishing effective quality controls, and ensuring customer and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related field preferred.
• 15+ years of aerospace or related manufacturing experience.
• Extensive experience leading quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• NADCAP experience and maintaining certification standards required.
• Experience with SPC programs, ERP systems, and data analysis tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transform the quality system from inspection-based to process-driven, reducing defects at the source.
• Develop and improve quality systems and procedures to meet requirements.
• Establish quality metrics like scrap, rework, FPY, cost of quality, and escapes.
• Integrate quality metrics into ERP for visibility and adoption.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Partner with engineering and operations to embed quality in production.
• Oversee in-process and final inspections to ensure standards.
• Lead the quality team, including performance management and training.
• Maintain NADCAP and other certifications, ensuring audit readiness.
• Serve as primary customer interface for quality and audits.
• Ensure cross-department collaboration to support quality objectives.
