Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Quality Manager at its Simsbury, CT site to lead all Quality Engineering teams for Energetics and Electronics. You will align site quality performance with shop-floor execution and drive improvements across multiple manufacturing processes in a regulated aerospace environment.

The role requires strong AS9100 knowledge, capabilities in structured problem solving, and the ability to develop high-performing teams while partnering with Operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or related technical field.
• Extensive quality leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace/defense manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and customer quality requirements.
• Proven coaching and development of Quality Engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Engineering teams across Energetics and Electronics.
• Maintain and strengthen the site quality management system.
• Embed quality into production readiness and daily execution.
• Drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Represent site quality in customer reviews and cross-functional forums.
• Foster ownership, transparency, and continuous learning.
