Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Lead Inspector to verify inspections and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer expectations and FAA requirements. The role supports the inspection team and helps maintain quality standards across aerospace repairs.

The position involves working a night shift (Friday–Sunday, 6pm–6am) in a manufacturing and office environment, with emphasis on accurate records, training, and safety. FAA/CAAC/EASA regulations knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related aerospace experience.
• FAA Certified Repairman or A&P desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is a differentiator.
• Knowledge of FAA, CAAC and EASA regulations.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work.
• Verify inspection records, reports and forms before release to service.
• Collaborate to recommend changes in quality processes and standards.
• Participate in professional forums and training activities.
• Improve workflows to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
