Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Lead Inspector to support quality activities, verify inspections, and determine hardware condition per technical documentation. You will be a key member of the inspection team ensuring standards meet our customer and FAA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years in aerospace, inspection preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
• FAA Certified Repairman or A&P preferred.
• Experience with measurement instruments and CMM is a plus.
• Must comply with FAA/DOT safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inspections are properly performed on completed work.
• Verify inspection records and forms before release.
• Suggest improvements to quality processes and standards.
• Engage in professional forums on quality issues.
• Participate in training and development of inspectors.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with health rules.
• Assist inspection department staff as needed.
• Support continuity of inspection responsibilities during shift changes.
• Contribute to reducing costs while improving quality.
