Job summary

KBR is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector in Houston, TX to inspect aerospace flight parts and assemblies, verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and AS9100, and document nonconformances. This role supports production and maintenance and liaises with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years QA experience or a BS in engineering or a related field; strong drawing-reading, inspection tooling familiarity, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, measuring equipment, and basic quality documentation.
• Knowledge of AS9100, and nonconformance processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming material, in-process assemblies, and finished aerospace products for conformity to requirements.
• Review drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and inspection records for accuracy and compliance.
• Use precision measurement tools and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and borescopes.
• Record inspection results, prepare nonconformance reports, and support corrective action activities.
• Verify that work complies with AS9100, and/or internal quality system requirements as applicable.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Support audits, quality checks, and process verification activities.
• Maintain traceability and proper documentation of inspection findings and product status.
• Assist with product and process qualification, inspection planning, and technical documentation review.
