Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Quality Control Inspector IV to perform in-process inspections and quality verification for aerospace components. You will use precision measuring equipment and inspect documentation to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and standards, supporting production and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in aviation or quality inspection, with 2+ years in dimensional/visual inspection, plus strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an aviation-related field preferred.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• 3+ years Aviation, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience.
• 2+ years of dimensional and visual inspection experience on aviation-related equipment, components, or assemblies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet management.
• Ability to accurately document, evaluate, and communicate inspection results.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections to verify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Conduct receiving, production, and shipping inspections as required.
• Utilize precision measuring and inspection equipment to evaluate product conformity.
• Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, sampling plans, and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances and support corrective actions.
• Verify required manufacturing, assembly, and inspection steps have been completed before work advances to the next operation.
• Ensure parts, assemblies, and documentation are accurately identified, tagged, and routed.
• Maintain inspection records, travelers, routers, and quality documentation to support traceability.
• Confirm inspection and measurement equipment is properly calibrated and suitable for use.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues and support efficient workflow.
• Recommend improvements to quality standards, inspection methods, and production processes.
