Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking an Inspector to visually and functionally inspect aircraft parts during all phases of processing. You will read planning documents, interpret blueprints, and document clear inspection records.

Responsibilities include calibrating tools, interfacing with cross-functional teams, initiating nonconformance reports, and supporting continuous improvement of the quality management system. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in masking or related field, preferably aerospace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
• Conduct internal audits as required
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Perform other tasks as assigned
