Job summary

The Lighthouse for the Blind in Seattle, WA is seeking a Quality Inspector I to join the Aerospace Division. You will perform inspections to determine acceptability of manufactured products and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and familiarity with inspection devices and tools. Strong reliability, teamwork, and communication accommodations (Braille/large print/interpreter) are valued.

Qualifications

• Inspect and determine acceptability per customer requirements.
• Perform receiving, first part, in-process, and final inspections of simple items.
• Understand customer requirements and assure compliance to standards.
• Verify that all required documentation is completed to assure process control.
• Assist Quality Engineer and others on corrective action.
• Continuing education classes will be required.
• Assist in detecting problems and confer with lead or supervisor to resolve.
• Adhere to safety standards and report concerns promptly.
