Atec Inc is seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector in Kansas, responsible for ensuring product quality through inspection processes and documentation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Primary duties include interpreting engineering drawings, using manual inspection tools, and collaborating with Quality Management. Proficiency in GD&T standards and AS9100 quality processes is required. The role entails working in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical parts and safety protocols.
Ensure Atec product quality through the application of inspection processes to verify and document conformity to all customer and engineering requirements at planned control points in the manufacturing process.
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to work with inspection equipment; reach overhead with hands and arms; and stoop, bend; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Participation in the Atec vision verification program is required. Vision requirements include an acceptable rating in near vision and color vision in at least one eye (corrected or uncorrected).
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing environment areas where under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as Safety Glasses. Employee is standing and walking several hours a day on concrete floors. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
