Job summary

Ace Precision Machining is seeking quality inspectors to ensure parts meet exact specifications for aerospace, defense, and power generation components. You will inspect sheet stock, weldments, and machined parts, perform visual checks for cracks and defects, and learn marking processes and basic CMM functions.

The role offers diverse inspection tasks with tools like calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges, plus growth opportunities in a safety‑driven, high‑precision environment.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Quality inspection experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sheet stock, weldments, machined parts, castings, and assemblies for conformance to specifications.
• Perform final visual inspections to identify defects such as cracks, pits, dents, burrs, nicks.
• Learn and perform part-marking processes (Chem Etch, Bar Code Labels, Ink Stamping, Laser Etching, Dot Peen, Vibra-Pencil).
• Assist with receiving inspection and verify materials meet specifications and purchase orders.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, scales, thread gauges, and bore gauges.
• Perform basic measurements and material hardness checks.
• Learn basic CMM inspection functions, including diameter and roundness.
• Compare completed parts to drawings, routings, parts lists, specifications, and sample models.
• Review supplier certifications and calibration records, maintain inspection documentation.
• Identify defective parts and communicate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor.
