Job summary

Armada Staffing Group seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for an aerospace manufacturing environment in Mason, OH. The role focuses on airflow testing, inspection of components, documentation, and adherence to customer specifications.

Training will be provided to become a certified inspector, with opportunities to assist CMM inspections when workloads slow. This direct-hire position offers a climate-controlled shop, a Monday–Friday schedule (3:30 PM–12:00 AM), and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Three or more years of CMM production operation experience preferred.
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred; aerospace industry experience is a plus.
Experience with Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS.
Experience operating CMM machines ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Must meet the ITAR definition of a U.S. person under §120.15.
Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and perform physical activities including standing, sitting, reaching, bending, twisting, and grasping throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Perform airflow testing, load/unload parts, prepare components using foil tape and sealing wax, conduct tests, analyze results, and document findings in Excel.
Inspect components with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, borescopes) to verify conformance with specs.
Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspections using CMM; analyze data and communicate findings to operators.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, operation sheets, travelers, and GD&T requirements to ensure specifications are met.
Maintain inspection records; communicate quality concerns to management/engineering; follow safety procedures; keep area clean.
