Job summary

Muon Space in San Jose is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern (Summer 2027). The role focuses on supporting design, development, and manufacturing processes of spacecraft components, with hands-on QA responsibilities in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will collaborate with engineers, perform inspections, collect data, and help implement corrective actions while learning from experienced aerospace professionals. On-site May–August, full-time, with mentorship and real impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in aerospace or related engineering field.
• Experience with quality control tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test spacecraft components to ensure quality and performance.
• Support creation and maintenance of inspection records and reports.
• Analyze manufacturing and assembly processes to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members on quality issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CAPAs for defects.
