Job summary

Apex Tool Group in Dayton, OH is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. You will lead root-cause investigations, drive containment and corrective actions, and partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain to improve quality and compliance.

This role works with AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap calibration, and SAP data systems to ensure traceability and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional investigations and problem-solving teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional root cause investigations.
• Drive containment, corrective action implementation, and effectiveness verification.
• Lead customer and internal corrective action responses.
• Analyze recurring quality issues and implement systemic improvements.
• Serve as site calibration champion and support audits.
• Monitor KPI trends to drive quality improvements.
