Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for our Dayton, Ohio facility. You will lead root-cause investigations, manage nonconforming material and MRB coordination, and drive corrective actions to improve quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

You will support calibration management, supplier quality improvements, and audits (AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap) while partnering with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline
• 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing
• Aerospace, defense, precision machining, or highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, Root Cause Analysis methodologies, Corrective Action systems, Capability studies, Blueprint reading and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and drive containment, corrective action and verification
• Own nonconforming material investigations and coordinate MRB processes
• Investigate customer returns, complaints, and quality escapes with engineering/operations
• Provide site calibration governance including inspection, measuring equipment, gauge control and MSA
• Support aerospace quality compliance and audits (AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap)
• Drive manufacturing quality improvements and data-driven decision making using SAP and quality data systems
