Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corp (SNC) invites motivated students to join our summer internship program in the IAS business area, where you will contribute to actual technical projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. The internship emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional workshops, and direct involvement in SNC projects to build valuable skills.

The role supports engineering decisions through data analysis, documentation, and collaboration in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Sophomore–Senior in college or technical school, at least 6 months from graduation.
Pursuing Engineering or Computer Science or related technical degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Able to work in a highly collaborative team.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Participate in actual technical projects and support team objectives.
Receive guidance from experienced professionals.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data to support engineering decisions.
Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
Perform hands-on technical work to gain practical experience and build technical skills.
Work closely with team members, absorb and learn from their expertise, and apply learning to ongoing projects.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support best practices implementation.
Participate in workshops designed to provide a deeper understanding of the business and company culture.
