Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Bothell, WA seeks a Quality Engineer II to support local inspection activities, drive data-driven improvements, and apply robust root cause analysis. You will collaborate with Design, Procurement, and QA teams to ensure quality through all stages from receiving to shipping, while advancing continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years in engineering, aerospace or regulated environments, strong problem-solving, and proficiency with engineering

Qualifications

  • BS, BSEE or related Engineering degree; equivalent experience may substitute the degree.
  • 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in aerospace or regulatory environments.
  • Experience leading 6S activities preferred.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing events preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Acceptance Test Procedures at an advanced level.
  • Independent problem resolution capability.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Experience with AS9100 and FAA compliant environments.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methods.

Responsibilities

  • Support local inspection activity and drive improvements through data analysis.
  • Respond to issues with robust root cause analysis and update procedures accordingly.
  • Support quality activities via procedural and instruction updates.
  • Oversee inspection areas: receiving, in-process, final, or shipping.
  • Administer QA infrastructure (calibrated equipment, Stamp Control, ESD, training).
  • Review engineering documentation for Change Control Board participation.
  • Investigate non-conforming parts with MRB and coordinate dispositions.
  • Lead First Article Inspections per AS9102 at suppliers and internal production.
  • Liaise with quality inspectors for technical support.
  • Develop data-driven corrective action plans from internal and supplier issues.
  • Lead quality improvement projects from idea to completion.
