Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead modernization efforts for the F135 program, acting as the Quality Lead within IPMT and guiding new technology integration and process improvements.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure manufacturability, inspection readiness, and robust quality controls across redesigned components, using model-based methods and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Quality, or related field.
• Strong ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable quality improvements.
• Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Quality Lead for the F135 Modernization Project, ensuring alignment with program objectives and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement new equipment and technologies.
• Provide quality insights to support DFM and DFI principles for manufacturability and inspection.
• Identify and resolve quality issues in F135 modernization trials and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering to develop robust inspection methodologies for new components.
• Support evaluation and redesign of feedback loops to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Support Quality Engineering for Class I/II engineering changes and ensure compliance.
• Act as SME for quality processes and provide guidance and training.
