Job summary

StandardAero in Cincinnati is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive improvements in COPQ, product quality, and process efficiencies across operations. You will recognize safety-critical parts, report concerns, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions with Operations Leaders and Production Engineers, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or other related Engineering field with 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in using quality analytical tools and problem-solving methodology.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
  • Immediately reports flight/product safety concerns.
  • Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
  • Develops and implements corrective/preventative actions with Operations Leaders and Production Engineers.
  • Provides Engineering support to Operations and Productions teams to solve quality-impacting non-conforming products or processes.
  • Maintains a safe work environment through compliance with safety and environmental programs.
  • Analyze defect data and establish trend charts for management review.
  • Works with Production Cells in root-cause and corrective action analysis for damaged parts, warranty reviews, and other non-conformances.
  • Conducts studies to stabilize or improve process capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Performs audits to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Analyzes and summarizes data from test and inspection reports; generates statistical reports for management review.
  • Applies quality methodology to solve problems with engineering staff.
  • Monitors projects to ensure quality and regulatory standards; approves design changes as needed.
  • Provides technical advice on quality system criteria, airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
