Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be actively working towards a technical/engineering degree.
• Six or more years of related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts.
• Knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to use standard business software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to apply project management skills and use scheduling software.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and policies.
• Ability to communicate to team members and top management.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers or regulatory bodies.
• Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to participate in goal setting and self-development activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess quality performance using statistical and analytical methods.
• Develop and implement inspection and testing methods for products and processes.
• Provide input on quality to product development teams and propose improvements.
• Identify quality performance trends and corrective actions with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance by conducting in-house and supplier audits.
• Develop sampling plans for inspections using attribute, variable, and sequential methods.
• Develop SPC and control charts; perform hypothesis tests and capability analyses.
• Participate in Material Review Board and investigations.
