Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering, LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Quality Engineer to uphold aerospace/defense quality standards. You will lead SPC, root cause analysis, and CAPA efforts while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure Quality across the supply chain.

Responsibilities include inspection reporting, contract reviews, and ensuring shipment quality. Strong GD&T knowledge and AS9100/D are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years in a regulated aerospace/defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100:D and NADCAP.
• Expertise in GD&T, inspection methods, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with CAPA and supplier quality management.
• Strong communication skills and self-directed work style.

Responsibilities

• Build and review inspection reports for conformance to drawings and specs.
• Review customer contracts and resolve discrepancies with engineering.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and documentation.
• Interpret drawings to select appropriate measurement methods.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain calibration records and validation data.
• Operate advanced optical metrology systems.
